 Final call for  the 2013 Vancouver Island Music Awards, please have submissions in by Dec 21, 2012. Details on how to submit your music here.

Major changes have been made to the criteria for music submissions this year – the event has been opened up to all Canadian musicians, and many new categories have been added. The VIMAs are open to all ages from 10 to adult, in all genres of music.

The 2012 VIMA Artist of the Year was Ladysmith’s Ryan McMahon.

Victoria’s Mike Edel won Male Songwriter of the Year, Lindsay Bryan received Song of the Year and Lola Parks won Female Songwriter of the Year.

Campbell River’s Francesca Belcourt was named Youth Artist of the Year.
