Seeking Grad Students to interview!

CFUV’s Beyond the Jargon program is looking for grad students to interview!
Ground breaking and exciting work goes on at the University of Victoria, but a non-academic audience’s understanding of that research can be hampered by clear communication. Beyond the Jargon aims to bridge that gap and bring the interesting and compelling stories of UVic’s grad students and their work to a wider audience.
The show is a weekly, half-hour program that airs Mondays from 1:30-2 pm on CFUV 101.9 FM in Victoria. It also streams online at cfuv.uvic.ca and can be downloaded as a podcast on Soundcloud.
Each week one of our hosts interviews a current UVic grad student in a conversation meant to go beyond the jargon and make graduate studies more accessible to those of us outside a particular academic field.
We provide a more personal approach to research by getting stories about the researchers themselves in addition to the actual research. With interesting angles and some rather unexpected experiences shared, you’ll find there is definitely more than one path to grad school…
