CFUV is hiring a part-time Women’s Collective Coordinator through the UVic Workstudy program!

JOB TITLE: UVSS_CFUV_2 Music Assistant (CFUV)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Women’s Radio Collective consists of self-identified women and those who identify outside of gender binaries who participate as on-air volunteers at CFUV 101.9 FM. The Collective aims to promote a diverse range of feminist views via radio while facilitating an environment of equality, diversity and accessibility.

1. Assist with volunteer recruitment, training, outreach and promotion, with a particular focus on marginalized communities. Aid the station in meeting its equity requirements as per the CRTC (Canadian Radio and Television Commission).

2. Coordinating, hosting and producing an hour-long, weekly news and interview magazine radio program with a focus on representing the diversity of feminist views in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. Strong organizational skills
  2. Good leadership skills
  3. Ability to work independently and with a team
  4. Demonstrated commitment to feminism
  5. Experience with radio an asset but not required

JOB LOCATION ON-CAMPUS: CFUV 101.9 FM, Student Union Building, RMB006

WORK STUDY WAGE: $11.00/hour

HOURS AVAILABLE: 100
