Description:
The CFUV Radio Drama Producer is a part-time, stipend position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organizing and production of a radio drama for broadcast on CFUV 101.9 FM.
Qualifications:
- Experience writing or producing a stage or radio play
- Experience directing actors or voice talent
- Experience with sound editing software an asset
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work to deadline
Duties:
Accountable to the Program Director, the Radio Drama Producer would also work in close consultation with the other CFUV staff to develop a radio drama for broadcast on CFUV. Specific duties may include:
- Coordinating volunteers in the production of a radio drama
- Developing a script for production into a radio drama
- Recruitment of voice actors and musical talent
- Promotion of complete works within the community
Term of Employment: $1000 stipend, payment upon completion of the project. Must be available during regular business hours, some weekend and evening work. The position runs from December 7th, 2015 to April 30, 2016. A criminal record review is required immediately upon hiring, at the employee’s expense, but upon a successful review the employee will be compensated for the criminal record review fee.
