Description: Between Revolutions features sounds from the in-between spaces of revolutionary time. Revolution is a process that we live within, a process of mundane practices of everyday resistance, which uphold the momentous/momentaneous revolutionary instances that are widely visible (i.e. the rally, the revolt). And revolutionary music is always emerging from the in-between. This program features these queer voices; minor characters in the field of "revolution music" by widening the scope of what resistance sounds like, and finding the resonance between distinct messages and sounds, distinct struggles and lineages. The show dances with questions, digs deep in the global crates, and feels/finds community through these shared listenings. The name is borrowed from Larry Mitchell and Ned Asta's queer fable-manifesto "The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions”.
