SUB Mural Project: Submission Deadline Jan 31

Do you want to get paid to create a major outdoor work on campus?
The University of Victoria Students’ Society is looking to pay a student to create a mural for one of the exterior spaces on our building!
The location of the mural is the outdoor stairwell leading down to the basement of the Student Union Building where CFUV, the Martlet, various advocacy groups and the food bank are located.
The hope is that by adding a mural, a more welcoming entrance to the lower floor of the building will be created.
Concept: They are open to a wide variety of concepts and suggestions, although hope that it could be in some way related to the theme of Celebrating UVic’s Campus Community, a message that is dear to our hearts here at CFUV.
How to apply:
Send the following to Kelsey Mech, UVSS Â Chairperson via email (chair@uvss.ca) or drop it off in her mailbox in the SUB General Office:
-a concept sketch of the mural
-a write up (500 words max) on your idea and why you should be chosen for the project
-a link to your portfolio or some examples of your work
-indicate whether or not you have experience doing mural work
DEADLINE: JANUARY 31 (Proposed mural completion date: March 31)
