Register now for the Youth on Boards Workshop on Tues May 13
Written by programdirector on 05/05/2014
The Youth on Board Project, developed by Volunteer Victoria and the Victoria Foundation, prepares youth (ages 19 – 35) to be leaders and decision-makers on non-profit boards to increase organizational effectiveness and sustainability while introducing new ideas and viewpoints from an important demographic group that is often under-represented at the board table.
UVic alumna Julia-Anne Morris, Manager, Youth Programs, Volunteer Victoria, will take you through a conversational learning process about the general roles and responsibilities of board members. The youth program staff will work with you to uncover where your passions are and what board would be a good fit for your interests, goals, and skills.
Following your board orientation, Volunteer Victoria will support you to help find a board position!
