The Asian Canadian Working Group Presents: Cedar and Bamboo

This Tuesday, November 23rd at 4:30 PM, the Asian Canadian Working Group presents a 22 minute documentary based on the lives of four people of mixed Chinese-Indigenous Ancestry entitled Cedar and Bamboo. The documentary is being shown at the Ceremonial Hall at the First Peoples House on the UVic Campus. This film is a part of an ongoing effort to rejoin Chinese and Indigenous communities and is produced by the Chinese Canadian Historical Society. Following the film will be a panel discussion on Identities in the Past, Present and Future.
