Congo Rising: A new Victoria based initiative

Do YOU have an interest in international human rights? Come check out the reception for Congo Rising this coming Tuesday, November 30 at 7:00pm at The Office. This advocacy group is launching a new Victoria initiative for Women’s Rights in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Congo Rising wants to help bring the voices of Congolese women to Canadians through outreach activities. In particular, they aim for Canadian women to use their influence to stop violence in the DRC – violence fueled by Canada’s investments in mining.
