7th Annual Tango and Latin Festival on August 1-3, 2014

 The 7th Annual Tango and Latin Festival is coming up on August 1-3, 2014!
This year’s headliners will be the Emily Carr String Quartet and Trio Garufa.
Expect tons of awesome shows and events, such as:
Joe Powers, World Champion Harmonica Player on Fri August 1 at 8:00 pm
- performs Tango Jazz and jazz standards with Victoria jazz gem Kelby McNayr and Seattle  jazz pianist Eric Verlinde
Gabriel Palachi on Sat August 2 at 8:00 pm.
- Palachi plays piano and organ, play fusion from jazz, Latin tango and funk. Gabriel is joined by: Hector Ramez Violin, Peter Dowse bass, Kelby McNayr percussion
Trio Garufa and Emily Carr String Quartet performs at the Alix Goolden Hall Sat August 2
- Also appearing are tango dancers Gabriel Gaumond and Hindi Es-Sadiqi (modern and tango) of Montreal, guest musician Joe Powers (first half with Trio Garufa), and ECSQ second half of concert.
Centennial Square on Sat August 2 & Sun August 3:Â
- Two days of great food, community and craft booths, beer garden, dance and music performance, in the atmosphere of a Latin Barrio (neighborhood) will be open to all ages
