Register for a Three-Day Mural Painting Workshop

Do you want to learn how to paint murals? Do you have something to say about your community?
Artist Hector Espinosa is facilitating a three-day mural painting workshop September 11-13 at the Slide Room Gallery with the help of local muralist Cameron Kidd. Participants will learn practical mural painting skills as they create a piece of art that reflects social justice issues.
The workshop is free of cost and supplies will be provided. No previous mural painting experience is necessary.
To apply for the workshop, please send a letter of intent with who you are and why you want to participate. We are looking for participants that are passionate about social justice, who are driven to learn, and who will share their knowledge. There are so many messages that can be conveyed through murals, so we want to hear what you are passionate about.
Letters of intent should be sent to cfuvarts@uvic.ca by August 28, 2015. Please include a contact telephone number. Successful applicants will be notified by September 4th.
