Student Project Showcase: Mechanical Engineering Technology on Fri, Sept 19 @ Camosun Interurban Campus

On Fri, Sept 19 @ 10am-2pm at the outdoor basketball court at Camosun’s Interurban Campus.
A vending machine that refills your beer growler, a precision lab machine critical to UVic. PhD research, a processing machine that is a game changer for the cosmetic industry, a courier bike that can handle full-sized 2,000lb. pallets…these are a few of the ways technology can make a difference, thanks to the ingenuity of this year’s graduating class in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Camosun College.
After spending the summer designing, building, testing and perfecting their final projects, student teams are now applying the last minute touch-ups as they get ready to put their inventions on display. The public and media are invited to view the projects and talk to the students at the annual Student Project Showcase, 10am-2pm, Friday, September 19, 2014, in the outdoor basketball court at Camosun’s Interurban Campus.

- Bakery Packaging/Processing Aid
- Beer Growler Filler Vending Machine
- Processing Plant for Seaweed-based Cosmetics
- Skin Cream Bottling Plant
- Square Braid Rope Manufacturing Machine
- Eco Courier Bike for Full-sized Pallets
- Chocolate Bar Wrapping Machine
- Precision Goniometer for Spectroscopy
