Science Venture Camp
Written by CFUV Communications on 07/19/2012
The kids from the Science Venture Camp are taking over CFUV every thursday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Along with DJ Ken Miller (Charts & Graphs) they will take over the time slot for our regularly scheduled programs Wings and Winds of Change until after August 16th. In place we have an eclectic set of exciting, upbeat tunes to play you while the Science Venture kids get a taste of what it’s like to be on the airwaves at a real radio station. They will update you on the weather, community events, and some facinating music trivia. Winds of Change/Wings will resume on August 23rd.
Established in 1991, the University of Victoria’s Science Venture program is operated in partnership with the Faculties of Science, Engineering, and Education. Programs include hands-on workshops, summer camps, school workshops, and community events for youth 5 to 18 years of age.
