Shout Back Fest
Written by CFUV Communications on 08/28/2012
Vancouver’s first annual Shout Back Fest is taking place over Labour Day Weekend.
Inspired by the likes of C.L.I.T. Fest, Ladyfest, & Homo-a-Go-Go, the Shout Back Festival is about combating sexism, racism, ageism & homo/transphobia (among other oppressions) within the various punk, indie, and noise music scenes. Taking place over Labour Day Weekend (August 31st-Sept 2nd), Vancouver’s Shout Back fest hopes to merge music with workshops, keynote talks, and politics into one hell of a righteous weekend.
