DOTS Mental Health and Suicide “Awareness” Rally

The Society for the Development Of Treatment Services (DOTS) will be holding its Mental Health and Suicide “Awareness” Rally on Saturday, September 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Legislative Assembly Lawns. The rally is a celebration of life, survival and how you or your loved one struggled.

The goal of the rally organizers is to prompt improvements to mental health in British Columbia and Canada. The people at the rally are evidence of the presence of this important issue and proof they are not alone or forgotten.

In September of 2011, approximately 300 people participated in Victoria’s first annual rally and human chain for mental health. This year that number is expected to increase.
