MEC Victoria Summer Classic 5 and 10K Run

Keep summer alive by lacing up and racing along the scenic Lochside Trail on Sunday August 26th!

Leading outdoor retailer, Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC), now offers a comprehensive running program, from races, to meet-ups and clinics, for all running enthusiasts. MEC’s goal is to introduce more Canadians to the pleasures and benefits of running and support members in all aspects of their active lifestyle.

With the MEC Victoria Summer Classic you get scenic, well-marked routes, timed results and good times at the finish line. Race begins at Lochside Elementary (1145 Royal Oak Drive)  at 9:00 a.m. and this out-and-back course finishes on the Lochside field. With measured and timed 5k and 10k routes, this race offers something for all levels, whether you’re a newbie or questing for your personal best”. Medals awarded to top three finishers in each category.
