Shake! records is back at it again!

The local garage record label Shake! Records is back with this year’s installment of Shake/arama, aptly entitled Shake/arama II.  After last year’s successful debut, Shake! has decided to continue the tradition, and to take it on the road.  This year’s edition of Shake/arama is set to span four days, incorporate more than 40 bands, and stop in 3 different cities!

July 1 @ Crace Mountain in Nanaimo – 3:00 PM

The first day of Shake/arama II takes place at Crace Mountain in Nanaimo.  With bands such as Surprise Party, Fist City, Catholic Girls and many more, this show is an excellent way to kick off the festival.  This show is pay-by-donation, and All-Ages.  A full list of bands can be found on the facebook event.

July 2nd @ Centennial Square in Victoria – 5:00 PM

The second day of the festival takes place in Victoria.  Starting off with a FREE, ALL-AGES, OPEN AIR show in centennial square as part of the Eventide Music Series.  The show features local favorites such as Painted Fruits, The Backhomes, Downtown, and Hansmole, as well as a host of out-of-towners, including Lab Coast and Knows.  The list of all 14 bands performing at this show can be found on the facebook event.

July 2 @ The Copper Owl in Victoria – 10:00 PM

After the event in Centennial Square, there will be another show happening at The Copper Owl.  Catholic Girls, Fist City, Surprise Party, Girlfriend, and Divepool will be performing.  This show starts at 10:00, is 19+, and $10 advanced, or $13 at the door.  Tickets can be found at Cavity Curiosity Shop, or at the Shake! July 3rd and 4th @ The Wise Hall and Lounge in Vancouver

The final two days of Shake/arama II take place in Vancouver at The Wise Hall and Lounge on Friday, July 3rd, and Saturday, July 4th.  The Friday show starts at 4:20, and features 22 bands, and only costs $15 Advanced/$20 @ Door.  The Saturday show starts at 1:00, and features 25 bands.  Tickets for Saturday’s show are $20 advanced or $25 at the door.  More information can be found about the Friday show here, or about the Saturday show here.
