Of Mice & Men

From July 3rd to July 15th Victoria’s McPherson Playhouse is proud to present Of Mice & Men. American writer John Steinbeck’s iconic tale of two itinerant workers in depression-era California. It is a heartbreaking story of friendship, dreams and sacrifice.

Director Brian Richmond will again join forces with long time collaborators and actors Gary Farmer (best known for his co-starring role alongside Johnny Depp in Jim Jarmusch’s film Dead Man) and veteran actor David Ferry. Farmer will play Lennie and Ferry George. They will be joined by a highly talented cast that includes from Toronto, Laurence Dean Ifill as Crooks, well-known local actor Brian Linds as Candy, James Leard as The Boss, Christopher Mackie as Slim, Sebastien Archibald as Whit, Michael Armstrong as Carlson, Ashley O’Connell as Curly and Samantha Richard as Curly’s Wife. Pacific Opera Victoria’s Director of Artistic Administration Ian Rye will design the set, Patricia Reilly the costumes and Rebekah Johnson the lights.
